UofT-DSI | Sampling - Assignment 2
What changes are you trying to make?
I created a survey design for Part A and evaluated a survey from Statistics Canada in Part B.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
I learned how to design a survey including defining the target population, sampling frame and sampling strategy. I also learned how to evaluate a real-life example for methodology, sources of error and limitations.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
I originally set my target population in Part A to just the sociology department of U of T but realized that it really limited the age group I was testing. I expanded it to be more broad to Ontario adults with stratified age groups.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
Finding the correct documents for the Statistics Canada survey required some digging and data was not as explicitly stated as I would have liked.
How were these changes tested?
Completed the required questions and double checked the rubric requirements.
